ARE THERE ANY PREREQUISITES TO BEGIN DRIVING?
According to government regulations, you can start driving a car when you are 17 years.
You must have a provisional driving licence for Great Britain or Northern Ireland when you’re learning to drive or ride. When you have your provisional licence you can drive on all roads except for motorways.
You must be supervised when you’re learning to drive a car. This can be by a driving instructor or someone else who meets the rules, eg family or friends.
The car you learn in must display ‘L’ plates.
HOW MANY DRIVING LESSONS WILL I NEED TO TAKE?
The number of driving lessons required depends on individuals. The Driving Standards Agency (DSA) actually recommends you take up to 22 hours of private practise in addition to your professional lessons. The amount of lessons you will need will depend on how quickly you learn.
CAN I TAKE MY LESSONS IN MY LOCAL AREA?
The simple answer is YES. As a rule of thumb, we generally recommend taking you test in Barking, Goodmayes and Wanstead areas.
CAN THE TRAINING BE FITTED AROUND MY OTHER COMMITMENTS?
YES. When booking your driving sessions, we take into consideration your other commitments along with your availability.
CAN I TRAIN ON WEEKENDS?
YES. Saturdays are included on our working hours. We are closed on Sundays.
DO I NEED TO PASS THE THEORY TEST BEFORE I START MY LESSONS?
We do not require you to pass your DSA theory test before you start your driving lessons. However, the law requires that you must pass your theory and Hazard Perception before you take your practical test.
WHAT MAKE OF VEHICLE WOULD I USE FOR MY LESSONS?
After the completion of your driving lessons, you are expected to be able to drive any vehicle within the class stated in your licence.
WHERE SHOULD I TAKE MY THEORY TEST?
You can take you theory test anywhere convenient and close to you. More details can be fund on the GOV.UK website
